What Lovable is

Lovable is a software platform built around a single idea: a person describes what they want in plain language, and the platform turns that description into what the company calls production-grade software. The emphasis is on the whole product rather than a fragment — users are meant to be able to run and manage an entire product from scratch inside the platform, not just generate a piece of code to carry somewhere else ^[1].

The parts that are not code

Shipping software involves more than writing it. Lovable says it handles hosting, SSL certificates and backend infrastructure on the user's behalf — the plumbing that otherwise has to be assembled and paid for separately — and it says customer code and data stay the customer's ^[1]. The platform also processes local payments, currency conversion and tax compliance in more than 200 countries and territories ^[1]. For a small team selling to customers abroad, those are exactly the tasks that normally require a payments provider, a tax service and legal review before the first sale.

Who builds with it

The company's site lists Adidas, Asana, ElevenLabs, Zendesk, Workday and Nvidia among the companies whose employees build with it ^[1]. Co-founder Fabian Hedin, speaking at the HumanX summit in Amsterdam, went further: he said people at two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies now use the product, naming Microsoft, Nvidia and Deutsche Telekom as customers ^[2].

Scale

Lovable says 1.2 million new projects are built on the platform every week, that 60 million projects have been built in total, and that Lovable-built projects draw 900 million monthly visits ^[1]. Hedin described the same phenomenon from another angle, saying apps built on the platform attract close to a billion views a month — an order of magnitude more than Lovable itself ^[2]. Both figures point at the same thing: most of what the platform produces is used away from the platform, by the people who visit the apps it generates.

Revenue and funding

At the same summit, Hedin said annual run-rate revenue had crossed $600 million, up from about $500 million reported in June ^[2]. A run rate takes revenue from a recent period and scales it to a full year, so it measures current speed rather than a completed year of sales. On the funding side, Lovable raised $300 million from Menlo Ventures and CapitalG in December 2025 at a $6.6 billion valuation ^[2], and a further $400 million from Menlo Ventures and the Scaleup Europe Fund in August 2026 at a $13.3 billion valuation ^[2]. Menlo Ventures appears in both rounds.

Where it sits

Lovable belongs to a group of tools that generate working software from natural-language descriptions, an approach that became practical as language models grew able to write and revise code across many files at once. What distinguishes the pitch here is how far it reaches past code generation, into deployment and operations: hosting, backend infrastructure, payments and tax. The revenue and customer figures above come from the company and its co-founder, and the description of what the platform handles is likewise the company's own account of it ^[1][2].
