Cohere North

What it is

Cohere North is an enterprise AI workspace platform from Cohere. It combines large language models, search and AI agents in one place for business users ^[1]. Cohere describes it as a way to let AI agents take on what it calls boring, multistep business work ^[3][2].

Origins

Cohere launched an early-access programme for North on 9 January 2025 ^[1]. The same month, Cohere and RBC launched a banking version called North for Banking ^[4]. North reached general availability on 6 August 2025 ^[3][2].

Main features

North combines language models, search and agents, and is aimed at regulated enterprises that need private deployments ^[1]. It can be deployed in a private cloud or on-premises, so an organisation can keep its systems inside its own environment ^[2].

Customers and partners

The customers named at general availability included RBC, Dell, LG CNS, Ensemble Health Partners and Second Front ^[2]. Dell became the first infrastructure provider to offer North ^[4]. In November 2025 North was included in SAP's European AI cloud launch ^[4].
