In January 2026 OpenAI began testing ads in ChatGPT for free adult users in the US, later extending them to its Go tier. Ads appeared in March 2026, and by August the ad business was at a $1 billion annualised run rate.

On 29 June 2023, Cohere announced that its Command text-generation model was available on Amazon SageMaker JumpStart. The same month it partnered with Oracle to bring its models to Oracle's cloud, where Command was later retired in favour of Cohere's chat models.
