Claude Code reaches $1B run-rate; Anthropic acquires Bun
On 3 December 2025 Anthropic said Claude Code had reached $1 billion in run-rate revenue, and agreed to acquire Bun, a JavaScript runtime that had already worked with Anthropic on Claude Code's native installer.
Salesforce agrees to acquire Informatica for about $8 billion
Salesforce agreed in May 2025 to buy data-management company Informatica for about $8 billion, folding its catalog, integration and governance products into Salesforce's platform for agentic AI. The deal closed on 18 November 2025.
Apple acquires Siri
In April 2010 Apple bought Siri, a San Jose start-up whose app answered spoken requests on the iPhone; the deal, reported by The New York Times, put voice-driven assistance on the path to becoming a built-in phone feature.
