Claude Code reaches $1B run-rate; Anthropic acquires Bun
On 3 December 2025 Anthropic said Claude Code had reached $1 billion in run-rate revenue, and agreed to acquire Bun, a JavaScript runtime that had already worked with Anthropic on Claude Code's native installer.

Google acquires DeepMind
On 26 January 2014 Google confirmed its acquisition of DeepMind, the London AI company founded in 2010. The deal brought a small deep-learning research group known for Atari-playing systems into Google and set up a unit later merged with Google Brain.
Google acquires DNNresearch
In March 2013 the University of Toronto announced that Google had acquired DNNresearch, a start-up incorporated in 2012 by Geoffrey Hinton and two of his graduate students for work on deep neural networks.
