Background
AI video generation is the branch of generative AI that turns a text prompt or a still image into a moving clip. It is harder than generating a single picture, because the model has to keep objects, motion and camera angle consistent across many frames. PixVerse runs a video generation platform in this category; as of September 2025 the company reported more than 100 million users in 175 countries[1].
The round
On 12 March 2026 PixVerse announced the close of its Series C[1]. CDH Investments led the round, and Antler, EnvisionX Capital, iGlobe Partners, Lion X Ventures, UOB Venture Management and 3W Fund participated[1].
The company said the round made it a global AI unicorn — the term conventionally describes a privately held company valued above one billion dollars — and that it was the largest funding round in the AI video generation category in Asia[1]. Both characterisations are the company's own description of the round rather than figures it published for valuation.
Scale on the consumer side
At the time of the round, PixVerse counted more than 2.1 billion generated videos on its platform and 16 million monthly active users[1]. Those two numbers describe different things: the first is cumulative output since the service began, the second is how many people used it in a given month. Together they show a consumer product with a large base of one-off users and a smaller group who return regularly, which is the usual shape for creative tools.
The enterprise push
PixVerse also sells to organisations, and the round came with details about that side of the business. The company said enterprise teams reported 68% lower cost and 57% faster production than with traditional workflows[1]. Such figures compare a studio or marketing team making video with generative tools against the same team working through conventional shooting, editing and post-production.
To support this business, the company set up a global office in Singapore to lead enterprise sales in North America and Asia[1]. The choice of location puts the sales hub between the two markets it named, and signals that the company is pursuing paying corporate customers rather than relying only on consumer traffic.
The yuan round reported in China
On 14 July 2026, Chinese financial press reported that Aishi Technology had completed a 2.98 billion yuan C round in total, with the C+ tranche led by Alibaba[2]. The report gives the round a size in yuan and names a second lead investor for the later tranche.
Why it matters
Three things stand out in what the company disclosed. First, the stated scale of the round placed it at the top of the AI video generation category in Asia[1]. Second, the investor list mixes a large China-focused fund in CDH Investments with several regional and cross-border funds[1]. Third, the money arrived with an explicit enterprise strategy attached: lower cost and faster production for teams, sold out of Singapore[1].
AI video generation is a crowded field, with several labs and startups releasing models within months of each other. In that setting, the resource a company needs most is compute and the ability to keep training and serving models while also paying for distribution. A large round and a large user base are what allow a company to keep doing both. PixVerse's own numbers — 100 million users, 2.1 billion videos, 16 million monthly actives — are the measure it is asking to be judged by[1].
